I thought I would start this thread asking seeing the advertisement above it ... which was moving to fast for me to read fully but stated something like .. Custodian wealth builders.. for $30 get ready to make millions in the property industry.. we will show you the seven secrets / steps ...

Now I personally am very skeptical of spruikers or people who can give you secrets ... however whilst skeptical I am always interested to see peoples ideas and the basics of what they are actually offering...

Has anyone attended any seminars with property spruikers, coaches, mentors or the like... ? Have you found the benneficial ? What sort of secrets are being taught ? Are there really secrets ? Why are these people selling secrets rather than making millions more in property ?? Are people talking about millions of property (in debt) or millions liquid ??

Let me know your thoughts or experiences ..

They're not selling secrets, they are selling a service. Been to a couple and like you am very skeptical. I did get something out of them though. Be it something you didn't know or a new idea. But then BANG!!! They've got everyone all excited and people seeing dollar signs before their eyes and before you know it they have you signing on the dotted line for their services.

I actually went for a job interview once with one of these companies and I was cautious from the start. You know the job ad that doesn't give too much away and the agent who sets up the interview telling you everything without telling you nothing. So off I went and within about 5 minutes I was out of there. You're not a salesperson, you're a BS artist. When I asked how the position became available - "We had to let the last person go because he wasn't meeting targets". So what was the target - sign up rate of >50% on the FIRST MEETING. The quote to me was "We don't let people go home to think about it, we need to sign them up while they are hot".

there has been a very old saying for years, along the lines...if you are good at something, you do it very successfully....if you are no good, or not up to standard then you teach....
I would never go to any seminar..as per this subject...and have never met anyone who went..that was happy with the outcome....I have met some people with some very silly ideas that came from those seminars....for eg; one wanted to buy my property...$500 deposit, and before contracts were exchanged , she would renovate or change my property....then sell it and give me the balance of the purchase price....when I suggested all the errors, she said she would find someone...she had no money...how would the banks lend her money if no asset...and since the asset was still in my name...
ludicrous scenarios...
others sold within 12 months and lost a lot of money, not only to the scammers, but on the deals they signed up for...
I find, generally, the people that do sign up, are looking for a get rich quick scheme....follow the sheep, or the crowd, think they will get something for nothing....all hyped up....join the crowd and do whatever the crowds doing...usually an enticement....free trip to qld, or free drinks...
