Forum spammers

Morning all,

You may have noticed that we are under assault by bottom feeding forum spammers. I am currently looking into the best way to combat these parasitical scumbags so please bear with me until a better solution is found.

If you see any spam, please report it and I will remove it and ban the offender ASAP.

Thank you Joe...I noticed the newest member as of today...had a similar suspicious looking name as the others...but cannot see the name there now.

Is this site associated or linked in any way with any other sites...for eg; aussiestockforums.....???
that forum has a lot more chat about property under the General Forum....and if it were related, you could force the posters onto this site...or am I just under the wrong impression about any association...
At least we have more decorum on this site., am hoping it will grow with good quality and informative posters, rather than the argumentive ones that clog the other sites.

Unfortunately it goes with forum territory, selfish idiots who look for low cost ways to advertise. I have a couple of blogs and use the Askimet tool, which has proved to be pretty effective when it comes to our spam happy friends!

I also have email marketing forum and faced lots of problem created by spammers.

Funny how some people comments on this thread. Saying that they hate spammers. :confused:
