It's based on post count alone and goes up to a higher rank based on how many posts you have made.

It is automatically switched on when this forum software is installed... I will probably switch it off shortly as I don't think it serves any real purpose on a forum like this.

It can be set to whatever you want, from the amount of posts required to go up a level to what the ranks are called. You could rename 'Junior Member' to 'APF Newbie' for example.

In any event, I have deleted the current ranks so it should now be gone.

It is great to see a forum administrator participate in the community he has created and dedicate his time to creating a vital source of info.

Joe took the time to explain the finer points of forums to a forum newbie like myself and I just wanted to let other members know what a great guy he is!
