Hi All,

I have only just started seriously looking into property and I am currently studying a property development course. It appears that a phenomenal strategy is buying and or developing in mining areas. Evidently the key is to buy at the start of the boom of a new location. The challenge as it seems is getting my hands on new info in relation to newly released mining sites and stats about size/employment opportunity etc. Can someone kindly assist me to where I may find such info?

Thanks
:)

Hello Crikey
I have a had a look on the net (and not getting much that convinces me), and I can see Collinsville mine and in one comment its mine end of life is June 2010! BUT that could be a 'contract' end date - difficult to clarify. Mine has been going 1919.
There is another new Sonoma mine nearby that I can see, 15 years life (@2008 - planned 200 workers).
To save me the pain of searching further you must know of other news, any tips on what will drive the take off. I dont live in Qld and havent seen the news.

Have you purchased anything yet?
Cheers
JB
