View Full Version : Spam is not permitted on Aussie Property Forums
Please do not spam your products or services on Aussie Property Forums.
If you wish to contribute to the forums in a constructive way, you may add a link to your website in your signature.
You may edit your signature here: http://www.aussiepropertyforums.com/forums/profile.php?do=editsignature
Spammers will be banned from the forums.
This is a reminder that spam is not permitted here at Aussie Property Forums. Furthermore, posting spam may result in the suspension of your account and definitely will result in the deletion of the spam.
Do not register here just to start a thread about your product/service/website. It is simply taking advantage of APF and not giving anything in return.
You may put a link to your product/service/website in your signature, but you may not start a thread about it.
Then start some threads on interesting real estate related topics, or contribute some meaningful content to already existing threads and others will see your link.
Thank you for your co-operation. :)
Ladies and gentlemen,
This is a reminder that we will continue to remove blatant spam from the forums.
In addition, we will ban those who persist with spamming or who post nonsense just to get some signature views.
Please contribute some quality content so we can make APF one of Australia's premier real estate forums.

If anyone notices spam, please let me or one of the other moderators know. It is the best way. We get emailed a direct link to the spam and it is very easy to remove that way.
It seems that many people don't seem to be listening to me.
If you have a website you can put a link to it in your signature (http://www.aussiepropertyforums.com/forums/profile.php?do=editsignature). However, if you then proceed to just post cut and paste rubbish or no content posts to get signatue views you will be banned. Please post meaningful original content and add some value to Aussie Property Forums! :)
If you start pushing a product, service or website in your posts you will be banned. I've been running forums for over six years and I know spam when I see it.
So please obey Aussie Property Forums no spam rule and help make this website a valuable resource for those interested in real estate by posting useful original content!
Thank you for your co-operation!
Spam has now reached epidemic proportions on APF.
To combat this anyone who promotes a product or service in posts on the forums will have their account suspended immediately and without notice.
APF is for the discussion of topics related to Australian property and real estate, not for the promotion of your product, service or website. Those who are suspected of just posting for signature views will also be subject to suspension.
Lets get some quality discussion going, not just self serving spam posts.
Sadly, it seems like a good percentage of those visiting Aussie Property Forums are not here to engage in genuine real estate/property related discussion but to promote their own websites and businesses.
As a result of this I am introducing one rule that I have introduced on another, very popular forum that I run.
Under no circumstances is anyone allowed to link to their website or blog in their posts. The only place you can link to your website is in your signature. A signature link should be enough for those seeking to promote their website or business and by forbidding people from linking to their website or blog in their posts hopefully we will reduce the amount of spam posts APF seems to be suffering from.
Any post that contain a link to the poster's website or blog will be removed.
Why not start a thread on a topic that isn't directly related to your business? Why not participate in a thread that isn't directly related to what your website is promoting? Only when this happens will APF become a vibrant, active community. As long as it remains a dumping ground for spam it will continue to stagnate.
Come on folks, lets talk about real estate and property. If you want to promote your business or website then get posting and you will get more signature views and more visits to your website.
Lets get some genuine real estate discussion going here and lets kickstart this forum!
Just a reminder that the only place on APF that you can link to your website is in your signature.
Posts that contain links to your website will be removed.

I am bumping this thread again to remind everyone that linking to your website in forum posts is not permitted. I keep seeing this happening and I am removing posts that are in violation of this rule on a daily basis.
The only place on APF that you can link to your website is in your signature.
Sadly, the spam here at APF continues almost unabated.
In at attempt to combat this, all spam URLs that are included in posts will be immediately added to the banned words list, which will censor them permanently and render them useless.
It's a shame I've had to go to these lengths to combat spam but it appears that I have no option.
The ONLY place a link to your website is allowed is in your signature.
