hello,
word out to the people, this is going to be mAsSiVe and I hope our friend WayneL is still plugged in,
rumour has CBA has been flooded by deposits, thats right flooded, anybody got a figure?
if thats the case, so much for off-shore funding requirements, the competition is just warming up

I wonder where the funds are coming from? I can think of one, lets say its from the share market... then who's buying?....
What about some of those morgage/banks the ones that arn't backed by the government? I hope not!

I think it's become apparent over the last day or so that it is indeed the mortgage funds.... however, a lot of them have gone into lock down and are no longer letting their clients withdraw their funds.
I suspect that all 4 big banks will have done well out of this - with the "deposit tax" coming in sometime in November, people with the big $$$ will be diversifying their savings across the board to avoid incurring the $7K or whatever it is for deposits >$1M....

its great though, everybody pouring money out of Shock Exchange and straight into the Big 4,
so no need to get "funding" for loans etc from the international markets, what a scenario, Rudd and Swannie are legend's
home loans keep rolling on, what a day its going to be might get a packet of twisties as a treat

robots, Where does the money come from to buy these stocks? Wouldn't be the bank would it? So its just doing a circle! ????

all i know is the home loan market is getting very competitive yet the "international" scene hasnt improved
